About This Project

A high-energy documentary series following Canadian wrestler "Jay, le Phenomenal" as he travels to Mexico City to train under lucha libre grand master Tony Salazar — blending raw training sequences and Arena Mexico spectacle with double-exposure cinematography that merges the wrestler's identity with the cultural landscape.

We composed and produced a driving Latin rock score fusing distorted electric guitar, heavy percussion, electronic synth elements, and authentic Latin percussion (shakers, maracas) at 130–140 BPM, with strategic drops for dialogue clarity and an anthemic build to the Arena Mexico climax.

Audio post-production encompassed full sound design — layered wrestling impacts, arena crowd beds, Mexico City ambience, ring foley, whoosh transitions — and a broadcast-ready stereo mix with precise dialogue-music balance throughout.

Produced in partnership with La Hacienda Creative.
